Three Tangent Tuesday

Hey y’all! It’s Tuesday again! Which means it’s time for Three Tangent Tuesday! This delightful gem was created was by Janae at Hungry Runner Girl, and it’s just a time for me to scare my readers off with bits about how WEIRD I am.

You can check out previous TTTs here, here, here, and here!

Three Tangent Tuesday!

+This is why I couldn’t make my bed this morning…

            [Bagheera took over my bed….]

Luckily I was able to lure her away long enough to get the covers done. She jumped back up before I could do the pillows however. I was FINALLY able to complete it, and this is the final product…..

[She definitely has strong opinions on where she belongs. Princess]

+This Friday is my birthday! And I will be turning 25, and guess I better get used to it, since I fully plan on being 25 for the next 5 years. It’s so hard to believe this is coming, it feels like just yesterday I was turning….

I was obviously more excited about that birthday than I am this one. :)

…..However…. This birthday, I will be……

+Going to The Swamp! This Saturday I will be going to….

Swamp

Which is….

Swamp 2

If you know ANYTHING about me at all, it is I am A HUGE Gator fan. So my rock-star of a boyfriend got us tickets to the first game of the 2011 Season, which just so happens to be the day after my birthday. I am so excited I could scream. And will be. A lot. On Saturday!

Okie dokie, y’all, that’s it for this week’s TTT. I have to make it through 2 more days, and then it’s my birthday! Woohooo! From what I hear there are lots of September babies out there, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY to y’all also! :)

Three Tangent Tuesday!

Woohoo! It’s Tuesday again. My favorite day of the week! I don’t have be at work until 2 pm, and it’s THREE TANGENT TUESDAY!

For those of you new to the party, TTT was started by Ms. Gorgeous herself, Janae over at HungryRunnerGirl. She’s fantastical, and my hero. Basically you tell 3 totally random, preferably embarrassing little tidbits about your life/day. You can check out some past ones of me, here, here, and here.

Three Tangent Tuesday

+ Look at what I found… I currently have a room full of stuff. No seriously. I can’t move in my room, because I have somehow fit an entire household into one bedroom. So, since I am moving in three weeks, I’ve been slowly going through everything and getting rid of most of it, lol. I stumbled upon this gem yesterday when I was going through old clothes….

I don’t know why I have this dress… I’m sure it belonged to my mother at some point. You know, since she actually lived through the 80’s as opposed to being born in them.

+ I want a daughter so badly…. Just so I can do this!

Little girls are so much fun to dress up!!

+ This isn’t so much a tangent, as an excited proclamation…. IT’S SHARK WEEK! I love sharks. I won’t go in the water because I’m deathly afraid of them… (except the two times I went shark cage diving…) but I love them. So Shark Week is always exciting for me. <3

Well folks… That’s it for this week’s edition of TTT. Hope y’all have a great Tuesday! :)

Three Tangent Tuesday!

Yay! It’s back! I love doing TTT, and you can find some past ones here,  and here.

Basically it’s where I take three totally random facts about myself or my life and tell y’all. Then hope and pray y’all might still want to be friends after hearing about how weird I am! It was started by Janae at The Hungry Runner Girl, and I love it so much!!

Three Tangent Tuesday!

+ I love doing puzzles. No, seriously. I de-stress to puzzles. And once I start one it’s all I want to do. I’m really good at them too. Not to brag or anything. :) You can also tell the difference of if I’m sad (or mad) and doing a puzzle to work through it, or just engrossed in one because it’s fun by the music I listen to. I will always listen to Tim McGraw if something is wrong. Haha. It’s kinda weird, but it helps me through things. Here is the puzzle I finished last week. :)

+ My mom and I were mean this weekend. Not really, but it was kinda funny. We had an eye doctor appointment at 9am in Jacksonville, which is like an hour drive. So we left at 8am, and set out to go to the doctor and then run a few errands. We were supposed to be back by noon. Until BabyBro and Daddy-o called to tell us the power was out.

Um. 100 degrees and no ac? No thanks. So we turned the day into a shopping date, and hit up three different air conditioned craft stores, a clothing store, an ice cream parlor, I mean you get the drift. The power turned out to be out from 9am until 7 pm. We got home at 4pm, so we only caught the last 3 hours. They were so mad at us! (Technically they could have left at any time themselves, they just chose not to!)

It was funny. Plus, Mom got her eyebrows waxed for the first time ever!

+ Shane and I bought a new washer and dryer. They already broke. Seriously. We went out and spent a fortune on my dream washer and dryer. I was so excited because this was our first large household item bought together. (By this, I mean I picked it out, and he paid….) It was delivered on Saturday. The washer made it through half a load before turning off and not coming back on. (With my clothes locked inside.) We’re really upset. Shane calls it the world’s most expensive paperweight. Don’t shop at Home Depot in Jacksonville, NC. Their customer service blows. They have not been helpful at all, and it’s turning into a huge mess trying to get it fixed/replaced. At least they are pretty….

Well, that’s this week’s version of TTT. Hope everyone enjoyed. :)

Three Tangent Tuesday!

Oh wow. Been a little while since I've done one of these! :) Before I get to the TTT, though, I'll throw some of the Williamsburg photos. I didn't get too many, but I did get a few. :)

Somebody had drawn on these flower buds! :)

See through dress of doom! ;-)

With two of the people dressed up. :)

Now. Three Tangent Tuesday. For those of you who don't know, Three Tangent Tuesday is something I stole from the AMAZING Janae, and it's where I just tell you three little (usually embarrassing) tidbits about my life. :)

Three Tangent Tuesday

+ I take pictures while driving. It's an AWFUL habit I know, but it's the truth. My friends and I are horrible about it, especially if we're going downtown, and have to deal with traffic. It just makes the drive more fun. :)
Me, Ally, and Aimee on our way downtown.

Me and Timmy (yes. For Tim Tebow.) on our way to Bayfest 2009.

Funny story here. I was driving. Foot on gas and everything. And yes. That is stop and go traffic you see behind me. Or in front rather. I don't know how I didn't crash. We were going to see Harry Potter 6. :)

Rocking out to Marilyn Manson on our way to Relay For Life.

Stuck in traffic on I-95 driving from Jacksonville to Norfolk.

+ I'm probably the loudest person you'll ever meet. I don't think anyone (except maybe my wonderful Ally-pants) could even dream of taking this title away from me. I'm the girl everyone thinks is yelling, but is just talking in my inside voice. Let's just say I don't need a microphone when I speak in front of people. :)

+ I didn't believe in Santa Clause. My parents didn't want to detract from the real meaning of Christmas, so they told me from the beginning that he wasn't real, and we didn't have any Santa decorations with Santa on them, no presents came from Santa, etc. I still haven't forgiven my mom completely. Do you know what it's like to tell a class full of six year old that Santa is made-up? You're lucky to make it out alive.....

Well, guys and gals, that's my TTT for this week! :) Hope you enjoy it!

Three Tangent Tuesday... And a Giveaway!

Oh. My. Goodness. I just finished The Friday Night Knitting Club, and let me tell you. It's fantastic. I mean, genuinely warm and lovely and moving and inspiring. I just spent the last few hours laying in bed crying my eyeballs out, unable to put it down. All thoughts of other plans for this evening flew right out the window.
I recommend this book so much. So so so much. I don't know if I can put it into words. So, not only am I going to tell everyone to read this book, but I'm going to give one away. So enter by simply leaving me a comment. Please link to your blogs/twitter/etc. You'll get extra entries, but it's not mandatory. :)

I just really want others to read this book. Haha. Now I need to read the two following books in the series. It's a series! I'm so excited. But I still think I'm going to put it on hold until after I read Something Borrowed (also in a series! Yeesh!) just so I can go see the movie as soon as it comes out! :)

Today was aight. (Don't you love that word?! Oh, it's just me? Ok....) More TAP class, all about the resume. Eeeek! I am so bad about bragging about myself and thinking up clever ways of making my experience sound earth-moving. Haha. Not looking forward to that, but I certainly got lots of sound advice, and a whole book to reference. I also learned that there are Veteran reps in every city in America that will help you with resumes, interviews, and job searches for free. Um, thank you Uncle Sam. :) Also learned how to negotiate salaries. More eeek! I'm such a wimp when it comes to some things. Guess I'd better get the heck over it. :)

Also went grocery shopping so I could make my lunches the rest of this week. The only remotely non-fast-food-like thing to eat has been Subway. And while I could (and would!) eat Subway every single darn day of my life, it is getting expensive at $10 a day. So I have a lunchbox (an impulse buy when I first got back to America- it is SO CUTE.), and I figured it was past time to put it to good use. :) I'm actually pretty excited even though I only have two mor
e days of class left, and it's back to 15 minute work days. (Yeah, you read that right. And, no. The military is not normally like that. I wish.) So I will be participating in WIAW, as I've been promising for like two months now to the lovely Jenn. Though she probably won't believe me until it actually happens tomorrow! :)

Anyways, enough babbling. On to TTT!

Three Tangent Tuesday
+ I can touch my tongue to my elbow. Yup. Sure can. I was in a tech school for the Navy and one of my classmates was going on about it is physically impossible to do, wh
ich meant that everyone immediately tried. Except me, I was far too nervous at first, having fallen for the 'Smile Like a Donut' trick once before. (Think about it.) But, alas, watching all these people fail, I gave in and had to try. It was super easy for me. So I immediately proclaimed him a liar, and he made me prove it to him, and was all flabbergasted. So now it's my neat little parlor trick. :)

+ I always flip a new quarter over to see the State. Every. Single. Time. I am like a little kid,a nd love the surprise of which of the 50 States (and now commonwealths) I'm going to find on the back of those silver coins. :)

+ One of my nicknames is Socks. I love, and I mean love fun, funky, flirty, skull and crossboned
, knee-high, bright colored, mis-matched, crazysauce socks so flippin much. I started dating a guy a long time ago, and his housemate had such a hard time remembering my name (he was quite inebriated most of the time) so he dubbed me 'Socks' because of my socks. It caught on. Here are some pictures of me in some of my fun socks. :)

Playing Monopoly on NYE 2009. Like a boss.

Ok, I found more, but they definitely have people who may not want to be on the blog in the photos, so I'll have to respect that. :)

So, I hope everyone has a great day! Don't forget to enter the giveaway! :)
