Happy Mother's Day!
I hope everyone's Mother's Day was lovely. Mine wasn't spent with my mother, since she is 9 hours away, but it was pleasant. I spent the day with a very good friend of mine from Hawaii that I haven't seen in a long time.
We started the day out with pedicures, and I got a bright summery pink with flo
wers. It was so nice to just sit back and be pampered! Then I went to American Eagle and bought the white dress I mentioned the other day. Oh yeah. I did. I'm super excited to wear it. If it's warm enough this weekend, I'll probably wear it.
Then we headed back to Abby's and made Black and Tan cupcakes. They were divine. Seriously. I don't even like Guinness, but these tasted so good. I'm definitely going to have to re-create them. I'm super-duper jealous of Abby, because she has a Kitchenaid mixer. I might steal it.......
Abby also has another toy in her house.... a Shake Weight. Oh yes. And she looks absolutely ridiculous when using it, just as the people in the commercial do.... Haha. So naturally, I had to take some pictures. She swears by it, though, and homegirl is waif-thin. I didn't get any pictures of us together, major fail, I know. But trust me. She looks great!
We called ourselves the BGF (Big Gay Family) today, since Abby's roomie and two other friends over are all gay, and we sat down to dinner around the table. I mean, it was Chinese Take-out, but still. :) We also watched Bruno, since I have never seen it, and I have to say it is the most hilariously shocking inappropriate movie I have ever seen. I gasped, I laughed, I almost peed myself. It is very inappropriate, though. So be warned if you haven't already seen it.
Needless to say, it was a wonderful day. Abby's boyfriend is visiting this week, so I can't wait to meet him. Other than that, not much to report. :) Hope everyone has had a fabulous weekend, and I can't wait to catch up your blogs.
