Life As A Penguin.

Hey lovies!!!!

Sorry it's been a few days, but the internet in my room still doesn't work, so I have been a super lame, lazy, hermit and not leaving. Mostly because I'm too frozen to leave.Seriously. They keep these rooms like the tundra. I have been curled up in sweats, socks, two sweatshirts, and a blanket at all times in my room. I'm seriously debating buying gloves....

Anyways. I know I totally missed my giveaway deadline.... So to make up for it, I'm throwing in 'Knit Two', the sequel! I don't think it was as good as the first, but still heartwarming and a good read. :) I have, since we last spoke, read 3 books. Yes. Three. Since Wednesday. Well. Including
Wednesday. Haha. That, and XBOX have kept me from killing myself out of pure boredom. I debated working out, but I wasn't allowed to wash my hair until yesterday (per my hair dresser's instructions), and that seemed far too gross. And then I had my implant removed, which really was no big deal, but I used it as an excuse anyways.

But the winner of the giveaway is Rach from This Italian Family! I did a very sophisticated way of choosing, and picked a random number off the top of my head. :) High-tech is my middle name. Email me at katytackleslife [at] gmail [dot] com with your address and I'll get the books in the mail this week. Woot!

It really wasn't that bad, I just kept the huge bandage on because I think it will get me more sympathy votes, and I can feel better about being a penguin in my room playing XBOX instead of a contributing member of society. Or at least a hygenic member of society. (I kid. I did shower. Just didn't wash my hair. I mean, for crying out loud, I had a girly-doctor exam. I had to shower.) And yes. I did just say girly-doctor, because that situation is uncomfortable enough without throwing out awkward words like gynocologist. That word just sounds ominous.

I did get bored and trek out to the Exchange where I was captivated by the tv showing a demonstration of a Kuerig coffe machine. Yup. I am that guy. I totally bought one. I didn't even buy any of the little K-cups to go with it (but that's only because I am waiting until I get to Florida to open it. It's just easier than re-packing it. Laziness wins again.) I am really excited about it, for the tea, though. I am not a big coffee drinker, but I love love love hot tea (I had three cups this morning. Though that was just to thaw out.) and hot chocolate. They even have dark chocolate K-cups! Plus they had it in red. I love fun colored appliances. So, maybe I'm just trying to justify buying this absurdly superfluous item. But Oh well. Haha.

Today I decided to go out. I went to the mall to wander, and ended up buying some Yankee candles that were on sale. I love candles. So much. Then I went to the movies to see Thor. I was super not impressed. First off, I thought that hammer has looked kinda rinky-dink since the first trailor I saw. And the movie was just kind of silly and badly-acted. The guy playing Thor sure does have a nice body, though. Like. A really nice body. Ahem. Back on track. Sorry.

I found a super cute white dress (white dresses are like my fashion kryptonite. I love them so much.) at American Eagle, but I didn't get it. I might go back, if I keep thinking about it..... Haha. It was really cute, and would look super adorable with some brown cowboy boots...... Ok, I'm mind-wandering again.

Sunday I'm meeting up with a friend I found out is stationed here, so that will be nice. I need to get her a Mother's Day card, since she has a son. Tomorrow is going to be an errands type of day, groceries, laundry, etc. Plus the gym. I can't avoid it any longer. I really can't. Plus that sauna is calling my name........ Love that thing!! :)

Well, I'm out. I hope everyone has a fantastical day! Only 14 days left in the Navy! :)

  3. We have Keurigs in our barracks room and I don't use it but the people here love them. I think you'll enjoy it. I can't believe you're down to 14 days!! Congratulations!

  4. I love my Keurig! It's definitely great for tea, but the experience I've had with the hot chocolate had much to be desired. I might have some of the hot chocolate cups laying around if you want me to mail them to you (I didn't like them). I'll look when I can walk again and let you know.
