Stop Being So Depressing Already!

I realized recently, as I have no clue who I am. Isn't that weird?

You know the 'About Me' section on Facebook? You want to know what mine says?

" I'm a girl. Gator fan. Florida born and raised.

I love the military, and look forward to loving it as a civilian."

That's all I could come up with. The only things I could think of to describe me were being a fan of a football team, and the Navy. It got me to thinking, and I have no clue what my dreams are, and what will make me truly happy. I know what my hobbies are (reading, playing XBOX, exercising, shopping, baking, etc.), but I have no clue where I want my life to go. I thought I did. I really, truly did believe I was on the path of true happiness. Until I realized I have no clue how to be happy.

It's kind of sad, isn't it? So what am I getting at? Why am I rambling on in this post on a public blog?

Because I'm going to find out. I'm starting from scratch at (almost) 25 years old. I;m really scared, and kind of excited, and way more than nervous.

I guess I though of this today because it's May 1st. Which means I am officially out of the Navy this month. Unemployed and beginning a new life.

Anyways. I just had to get that off my chest. I'll be back to normal broadcasting tomorrow.

P.S. I am still a huge flippin' Gator fan. :)

  1. You are so cool for admitting this and deciding to make a change! I'm still not sure I know who I am, but I'm too scared to shake up my life the way you are. Good luck, girl, I know you can do this!

  3. There are tons of people out there that have no idea what they want to be or where they want to go until their 30s. You're not alone! You're at the perfect age to start figuring out the next chapter in your life.

  7. Girl I TOTALLY understand where youre coming from! Apparently mid-20s is the hardest time of life for people, because it is common to go through what youre going through. I did the same last year, after I graduated with my undergrad degree and realized i didnt want to have a job that required my sociology degree. I am basically starting over, but its so worth it because I couldnt see myself in any field besides nutrition.

Im sure the same will happen for you!! Keep your head up, I know great things are to come for you. xoxo
